2002. This will be our final update for 2001. We've added even more

comprehensive redraft of our site has been undertaken in the past
3 weeks. We're also only a week or so away from our Summer 2001-2002
Best for Birding Catalogue. Additions to our website from this new
publication will be incorporated in the next week.

Birding Shop .com disappeared into the blackhole of cyberspace for
a few days last week. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused
by the change to another server and the subsequent problems re-routing
our thingamebob whatsit! The problem has been remedied and we are
once again fully operational. By the way, our new Catalogue is due
out mid October. Request a paper copy by clicking here.

from the British Bird Watching Fair to do an initial urgent update
on the 23rd of last month and have also since redesigned the front
page making loading quicker and easier. Also, our welcome page now
features a short cut to various parts of the site not so much to
do with shopping, but to do with our other area of interest: birding
of course!

colouring competition submissions have been added. Have a look at

a few new titles. Our next sheduled update is due in late August
- the webmaster will be in Europe from now until the BBWF

were pleased to support the Art for Birds' Sake Auction
held in support of the Barren Grounds Bird Observatory. The
approximately $40,000AUD of money raised after costs goes to Barren
Grounds for new and better facilities. The auction has now been
finalised and was a credit to Raoul Boughton, Jenny Buchan and the
team. Well done guys!

updates to the price list. The weakened Aussie dollar is causing
a reassessment of our pricing and, as a result, our prices are even
more competitive. We've also updated the GPS/navigation page to

the Barren Grounds Bird Observatory web site and help support the
observatory to maintain and increase visitor facilities by bidding
on-line through the web site for some outstanding Australian art.
Bidding for the on-line part of the auction will be accepted from

new Catalogue has been launched featuring a small sample of our
stock. A more extensive range of items may be viewed on-line by
clicking on the shopping tab above.
We
are proud to now host the Rushworth Bird Banding Project's web site.
This area is still under construction but click here
to get an idea of the scope of this project - the only ongoing banding/ringing
project in Australia with an education program to enable banders
to get their licence.
